4th Tap Brewing Cooperative - Can You Dig It Amber Ale

One night we decided to do a lot of recording. This was one of those episodes.

We tried Can You Dig It Amber Ale from 4th Tap Brewing Co-Op. We talk about 4th Tap, the Five-8, Celis's bankruptcy, and Joel says watered-down a lot when he means light-bodied.
And we discuss the similarities between ambers, browns, reds, and pale ales.
And Cutter spills his beer everywhere but you won't hear that.

In this episode, we slip the surly bonds of craft beer and dance upon foam with hoppy wings.

On this night we mixed craft beer and ice cream. In the name of science, we make beer milkshakes with several Texas beers and Bluebell ice cream. This year we try Texas Harvest Freetail Brewing Company, Doppelblur from Circle Brewing, Land O' Milk and Honey from 903 Brewers, and Cookies and Cream Supernaut from 4th Tap Brewing Co-op.
Find out how we fare while we talk about $13 tattoos, gilding the lily, and Cutter gives an example of the world's worst Australian impression.

In this exciting episode, we travel to Dripping Springs to visit 12 Fox Beer Co.
Long, long ago in a land far away,  Joe and Aaron fell in love with European beer while stationed in Germany. And eventually, they opened a brewery in Texas. So on the hottest day of the year, we got to sit down with them. While sitting we sampled their beer and talked about the difficulties of opening a brewery, harvesting rainwater, and becoming a part of the community. It leaves us with the question, is it easier being shot at or opening a brewery.

Grab your enkles! Because in this episode we talk about Trappist ales.
On this night we try Lux Mundi, a patersbier from Save the World Brewing, Dutchover, a dubbel from Pegasus City, Family Trip, a tripel from Bitter Sisters, and then Real Ale's Black Quad. After that, we compare them to a real Trappist ale, the Westmalle Dubbel. While drinking we cover the differences between singles, dubbels, tripels, and quads. We go over Trappist and abbey beers, the monks who made them and which ones took the black.

While recording another episode Cutter showed up with this episode's beer.

In this episode, we drink Einhorn, a berliner weisse from Austin Beerworks.

We had the normal Einhorn last year but this time we try the Tropical Einhorn, the Ginger Lime Einhorn, and the Sour Cherry Einhorn. We talk about that, weisse beers, untappd adventures, the 2000 NFL draft, the Raiders, 'Papa' John Gruden, and wonder why people would want Cutter's face on clothing.

We also talk about Chance's new podcast, Past Interference.

And Clint decides to opt-out of this episode.

A little while ago Cutter went on a long journey to throw his beard into a volcano before it destroyed the world.

He didn't make it there because on the way he stopped for a drink.

He stopped at Amor Artis and tried their Sospeso Coffee Blonde. He liked it so much he brought back a crowler of it.
We discuss blondes, and coffee, and how to milk a cashew.

And Cutter and Clint disagree.

One night we decided to try something new and something old.

So we try Remedio, a southwest wit featuring sage and Texas lavender from Hop & Sting Brewing. While we drink we talk about soap, diabetes, American Gods, gruit, and Clint gets amped up thinking about children having more than one crayon.
And remember, you should always ask what's in Cutter's food.
