Wandering Soul

This weeks episode is a special one for us here at Brew Roots, we finally sat down with one of our favorite brewers Matt Smith from Wandering Soul Beer Company out of Beverly Massachusetts. Matt tells us about how he started his brewery as an opportunity to remember his daughter Melody who tragically passed away when his wife Abby was 8 1/2 months pregnant with her. Matt talks about reaching a point where he knew that he needed to do something to honor Melody's memory and that's where Wandering Soul Beer Company came into existence. We are really proud of how this episode came out and we hope you enjoy it as well.

Make sure to get your hands on some of Wandering Soul's awesome beer by checking their website.

Cheers

We went across the pond for this episode virtually of course and sat down with our new friend Daniele from ORA Brewing.

ORA was founded in 2016 in Modena (Italy), and is dedicated to creating beers that marry the quality of the finest Italian ingredients with contemporary beer styles. The team moved their operations and brew their beers in Tottenham, North of London.

Who's seen the sound of music? (not Matt) Well did you know the same family behind that story also own and operate a brewery in Stowe, Vermont. This week we won't repeat the premise of the movie (which Matt still doesn't know what it is anyways) but tell you the story about the awesome beer being made by Von Trapp Brewing.

Cheers

This week we sat down with one of Massachusetts's newest breweries, Rockport Brewing Co. out of Beautiful Rockport MA. Ray Pickup is owner and head brewer and just an overall incredible person who cares about community, being eco friendly, and dedicated to having incredible beer. If his first commercially available beer "Hatchet" is any indication of the quality of beer that is being brewed out of Rockport, you're going to be hearing a lot of them in the near future.  Cheers!

Mark has worked everywhere and he tells us his stories about his time at those various breweries. We were able to catch up with him during his time at Idyletime Brewing in Stowe Vermont and we are able to learn a little bit of their story as well.

We definitely encourage our listeners to make their way up to the Stowe area. Not only is it beautiful but the beer and food scene is unreal.

Cheers!
