ZēLUS Beer Company

Running Marathons and half marathons is not something the Brew Roots crew is familiar with, but our guest this week certainly is. Our new friend Geoffrey is the founder and brewer at ZēLUS.

Geoffrey started ZēLUS with a drive to deliver beers with all the great flavor of a traditional craft beer while keeping ABV’s low and nutrients high.

We know this episode got us motivated to start training for our next marathon.

To find out how to get your hands on ZēLUS's beer make sure to check out their website https://www.zelusbeer.com/

The Brew Roots Crew has been gladly making trips out to Western Mass during the summer and early fall. The beer and people out there is special to say the least.

This week we went out to Berkshire Brewing Company in South Deerfield, MA and talked to Gary Bogoff Founder and President of Berkshire.

Berkshire has stood the test of time being around for nearly 26 years. So listen and find out why.

Cheers

That’s it! We’re putting in our Two-Weeks Notice! Or that’s what we want to say just like Mark did when starting his journey opening Two Weeks Notice Brewing Co.

Another Western MA brewery that we seriously can’t get enough up. We hope this episode gives you more incentive to head west on your next beer trip. As always, support local and buy from the source when you can. Cheers!

The air is getting crisper and the temperatures are dropping here in New England. For the Brew Roots Crew it’s the perfect time to enjoy some amazing local Ciders.

So, we made our way to Lookout Farm in Natick, Massachusetts to talk about Cider and Beer with our new friends Rich (Sales Manager) and Aaron (Head Brewer).

We learned a lot about Lookout Farm's commitment to sustainability and how much of what they grow at the farm goes into their ciders, beers, and onsite restaurant.

It's harvest season so go to Lookout Farm, drink some Cider, eat some food at their new restaurant "The Lookout" and pick your own apples. You know Fall Stuff.

In November of 2018 the Brew Roots crew was introduced to Channel Marker Brewing in Beverly Massachusetts. For us it was the first time we interviewed a new brewery before they were open. To hear about Channel Marker's beginning make sure to listen Episode 44 with them!

We remember leaving Channel Marker always thinking we need to do a follow up episode with them down the road. Well here is that episode.

Learn about how Channel Marker opened their doors in Beverly Massachusetts and in almost a year and a half has become one of the more talked about breweries in the area and even got some national attention recently thanks to an article put out by USA Today.

The Brew Roots crew made their way up to Littleton New Hampshire to hang out with Schilling Beer Co.

Schilling started out as a dream between 3 brothers, their father and their best friend a little over 15 years ago.

Schilling believes that:

“Brewing progressive European-inspired beers is our passion. These beers reflect our experiences of living and traveling extensively throughout continental Europe, the warmth of family and friendships, and the values and intentionality that define our beers and our future.” this episode covers quiet a bit. So sit back and enjoy!
