Who doesn’t like beer and bbq? We certainly do! Our two guests this week make it their life goal to bring Charlotte the best of craft beer and bbq in one single spot. Joey and Nick Abate are the organizers of the Hops and Hogs Festival. Be sure to check out this year’s festival happening September 4th and 5th at the Park Expo in Charlotte. Listen in to get a preview of what you can expect then get your tickets HERE.

A real bonus for us this week was being able to record on location at High Branch Brewing's new location. We sat down with head brewer and founder TJ Creighton to talk about this new chapter in the brewery's story. Check out the new space yourself by directing your GPS to 305 McGill Ave NW #100, Concord, NC 28027.

We’re very excited to welcome Vaulted Oak Brewing to the Charlotte beer community. Our long-time friend Kiel Arrington joins us to talk about his vision becoming a reality. Kiel and head brewer David Carey sit down with us to share a couple of pints and talk about what makes Vaulted Oak a unique experience. Opening a new brewery is never a walk in the park but opening one in an old bank adds a few extra challenges. Be sure to stop by Vaulted Oak in the MoRA neighborhood to try a great beer made by great people.

Our taste palates would also like to thank Toby Hufhand and Fabio Durazzo of Sal’s Pizzeria for bringing out some of the best pizza in Charlotte. We got to talk with the duo about their philosophy on pizza and beer.
