Alexis Degan Visits Again

While continuing to social distance, Amy and Rob talk via Zoom with Alexis Degan, Executive Director of the New Jersey Brewers Association. She talks about the new non-profit, Brewery Strong and how the breweries of NJ are making out during the quarantine.

You will notice that both Ian and Eric are missing from this episode because Rob is continuing to hate Zoom and lessened the amount on the show. Look for them to appear on upcoming shows.

The show is brought to you by White Eagle Liquor Store in Riverside NJ, Beer Belly Brew Tours in Oaklyn NJ and The Thirsty Quaker in Jersey City NJ

It's been a very difficult few months for everyone but since things seem to subsiding a little bit, we thought it was about time we reunited and did a show. Everybody showed up at the studio and we talked, laughed, drank beer and we had to shake our heads at something Amy did. Listen for Amy's new recipe for beer fruit salad.

Make sure you visit our sponsors, White Eagle Liquor Store in Riverside, NJ and The Thirsty Quaker in Jersey City, NJ. Also reach out to Beer Belly Brew Tours to find out when they are resuming tours. After all, seems every brewery has a beer garden and could use your business.

Since Rob is still hating Zoom, we are bringing you a past episode where we talk about some summertime beers. Listen to the choices and I'm sure at some point Rob voices his disdain for sour beers which now he favors to drink.

Now that breweries are opening up their beer gardens, we will get back to recording new material and visiting places in a responsible way.

Make sure you continue to visit our sponsors, White Eagle Liquor Store in Riverside. The Thirsty Quaker Bottle Shop in Jersey City.

When they can begin rolling again, make plans to go and visit places with Beer Belly Brew Tours.

On March 24, 2017 we visited the studio of Toxic Radio to record our first episode.  In honor of that anniversary I decided to release this episode again so that you can laugh at how I tried to have a "radio voice". Pretty funny listening to us navigate our way through our first episode.

It's been 3 years since we started and we have met so many great people, drank a lot of awesome beer and we all laughed  at what Amy said. Thanks for all of our guest who joined us and thanks in advance to those that we will meet in the future.

We wanted to sit down and do an episode but with the Covid-19 pandemic just starting to take over our everyday lives, we used the equipment in the studio. With Rob in the studio, he got Amy, Ian and Eric on the phone from their social distancing spots. Actually, Amy and Ian weren't totally following protocol. Even though Rob was running the board, it all worked out.

We want everyone to stay safe, follow the advice of the CDC and your local government in order to remain that way. The situation changes every day so make sure you stay up to date on the news.

Remember to shop local at this time. Support the NJ breweries the best you can.

We drank beers from Flying Fish, Glasstown, Bolero Snort and Atco Brewing and Riverhorse

We took a road trip again and this time we visited Eight and Sand Brewery in Woodbury, NJ where we sat down and talked to one of our previous guests, Kristen Wilson. She was on our Ladies Night episode a while ago. Kristen is the tap room manager and self proclaimed den mother of the brewery. She talked about the brewery and the new girls podcast that she will be starting very soon.

We also talked to Chris Mazzone, one of the owners of Eight and Sand, who along with Chris Burke turned a small spot in Woodbury in to one of the best breweries in South Jersey.

You should definitely make it a point to visit them. Follow them on social media to find out all of the events they have at the brewery
