The Central PA Pour is a podcast hosted by four friends and neighbors and focusing on the Central Pennsylvania Craft beer scene. Each episode, the CPP Crew will highlight three different beers from the local breweries and give their amateur opinions and rating.

In this Dark as Night episode, it’s all about Dark Beers. The crew discusses some NFL playoffs, winter Olympics and where they recently visited. What is a “foeder”? Simply put it’s a large wooden vessel used for fermenting. Foeder’s (pronounced food-er), can hold more than three times the amount of liquid compared to an oak barrel.

Also, listen in later to the episode for Dave’s trivia question. We are giving away a $10 gift card to DJ’s Westgate Beverage to one winner with the correct answer. You can email us your answer or reply in any of our social media platforms.

In this first episode, the crew is introducing themselves and what the podcast is about. It’s also Christmas time and they have a little fun with the holiday theme. Also, please excuse the background noise and such, but it is our first try at the podcast. We will get better and hopefully be adding video with the podcast soon.

The three beers are as follows:

Alaskan Vista from ZeroDay Brewing Company in Harrisburg. (https://zerodaybrewing.com/)

Loopyelin from Liquid Hero Brewery in York. (https://liquidhero.com)

Heritage Rail Trail Brown Ale from Stony Run Brew House in York. (https://stonyrunbrewhouse.com)
